The Influence of Madrasah Head’s Leadership Style and Motivation on Teachers’ Performance in Sungai Pua District and IV Koto Agam Regency

Abstract

The effect of the headmaster leadership style and the motivation toward teacher performance in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Swasta se-kecamatan Sungai Pua and IV koto Kab. Agam. The thesis of the Islamic Education Management Study Program. Pascasarjana UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi 2023. The teacher performance is very stabilized education quality, whether it's done or not the learning process is very hinged on the teacher quality. The teacher's performance in learning is very important to support the education process effectively. Good teacher performance can create the effectivity and learning efficiency. The teacher's performance is affected by some factors the only is leadership style of the headmaster and work motivation. The purpose of this research is to know whether there are the effects of the leadership style of the headmaster and the motivation toward the teacher performance in Madrasah Swasta Se-Kecamatan Sungai Pua and IV Koto Kab. Agam. The method used in this research is quantitative research and kind of this research is a correlation. The result of this research is: (1) there is of positive effect and significance between the leadership style of the headmaster toward the teacher performance that is indicated by score t obtained > t table (2,716 > 1,983). The correlation is 0, 259 with the effect of the headmaster leadership style on the teacher performance is 25,9%; (2) there is a positive effect and significance between motivation toward the teacher performance that is indicated with score t obtained > t table (6,523 > 1,983). The correlation is 0,541 with the effect of motivation toward the teacher performance is 54,1% and (3) there is a positive effect and significance between the headmaster leadership style and motivation toward the teacher performance that is indicated with score F obtained > F table (23, 340 > 3,090). The correlation is 0,560 is obtained from the effect of the headmaster's leadership style and motivation toward the teacher performance in Madrasah Swasta se-kecamatan Sungai Pua and IV Koto Kab. Agam is 56 %. The result of this research can be used to get information and inspiration for the headmaster in the Madrasah.
