Abstract

Shariah-compliant hotels are a vital component of the Islamic hospitality industry, aiming to cater to the needs of Muslim travelers both globally and locally. This article examines key references in the development and implementation of Shariah-compliant hotels, emphasizing a comparison between global and local perspectives. A qualitative approach using a library research methodology was employed to analyze documents, guidelines, and standards related to the field. The findings highlight the significance of integrating global standards and adapting them to local contexts to ensure the effectiveness of Shariah-compliant hotel models. The article concludes with recommendations to harmonize industry practices and strengthen international collaboration to expand the network of Shariah-compliant hotels.
