Abstract

The contemporary world is characterized by increasing religious diversity and social complexity. Religions, which traditionally serve as sources of identity and guidance, also have the potential to become platforms for ethical cooperation. However, many interfaith initiatives today are superficial, lacking theological depth and sustainability. This is the main concern of this paper. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to study the theological foundations of major world religions and examine the ethical dimensions that support interfaith cooperation. To achieve these objectives, this study applies a qualitative methodology involving document analysis, content analysis, and hermeneutic interpretation of sacred texts such as the Qur'an, Bible, Vedas, Tripitaka, and Guru Granth Sahib. The findings of this research reveal that all major religions uphold universal values such as justice, compassion, mercy, and the sanctity of human life, which provide a strong ethical basis for sincere interfaith cooperation. This study is expected to enhance theological understanding and revive meaningful religious dialogue across different traditions, thereby contributing to a more peaceful and humane global society.
