Abstract

The study aimed to highlight the concept of quality of life from an Islamic perspective and also to address it from a contemporary perspective. Despite the growing interest in the concept of quality of life in various academic disciplines, there is a clear lack of studies that comprehensively address this concept from an Islamic viewpoint. The significance of this study lies in its contribution to the existing literature on quality of life by shedding light on the Islamic dimension of this concept. In light of current global challenges, such as economic, social, and psychological crises facing different societies, this study adopts an analytical and descriptive methodology based on Islamic texts from the Qur'an and Sunnah, as well as relevant Islamic jurisprudential and intellectual literature, In the first phase of the research, Qur'anic and Hadith texts that directly or indirectly address the topic of quality of life are collected, classified, and analyzed according to different aspects of quality of life, including spiritual, psychological, social, and environmental dimensions, The study concluded that while the contemporary perspective on quality of life focuses on achieving human well-being through the improvement of material and social conditions, the Islamic perspective aims to achieve comprehensive happiness encompassing both this life and the Hereafter. Moreover, Islam emphasizes values such as social justice, solidarity, and collective action as essential means to achieve quality of life.
